Special Education Teacher - Franklin Park, IL
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt instructional materials and techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Provide support and accommodations to students during assessments and evaluations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
- PEL endorsement
