Our Extended School Year (ESY) program aims to ensure that students continue to thrive during the summer months and maintain their progress in speech and language development. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students at Mundelein, IL!
July 31-12 M-Th 7:45-11:45am
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist in our ESY program, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support speech and language development in the classroom and at home.
- Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting therapy goals and interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and progress reports.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure IL
- Experience working with children and adolescents with diverse speech and language needs.
- Knowledge of a variety of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for working with students and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
