Speech Language Pathologist Position in Norfolk, VA Full-Time Contract

ProCare Therapy is looking for a talented and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, contracted position at a school in Norfolk, Virginia. This position starts immediately and runs through the end of the school year. The role involves working with students from PreK to 12th grade, with a broad range of speech and language needs.

As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders. This position offers a manageable caseload, allowing for focused, individualized attention to students while contributing to their academic and social growth. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of educators and specialists to create effective therapy plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Job Features:

• Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
• Location: Norfolk, VA
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Through the end of the school year
• Hourly Rate: Starts at $38/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language evaluations for students across PreK-12th grade
• Create individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and student needs
• Implement therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
• Work closely with teachers and parents to track student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and decision-making

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Active licensure as an SLP in Virginia
• Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings is highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students, families, and staff
