We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive team at a school in Redwood City, CA. The SLPA will be responsible for providing speech and language services to a caseload of 21 students ranging in age from 6 to 22 years old. The chosen candidate will work under the remote supervision of an SLP-CCC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students as prescribed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student progress and success
- Document student progress and therapy sessions accurately and in a timely manner
- Attend IEP meetings as required and contribute to the development and implementation of IEP goals
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience working with school-aged children with varying speech and language needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work with a diverse student population
- Ability to use technology for documentation and communication purposes.
