Position Overview
In this role, you will provide individualized instruction in both English and Spanish to ensure student success. You will collaborate with IEP teams, families, and support staff to develop customized learning strategies tailored to each student's needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and implement customized IEPs to meet student learning goals.
- Provide bilingual instruction to help students develop both academic and language skills.
- Use adaptive teaching methods to ensure all students receive equitable education.
- Work closely with parents, therapists, and fellow educators to provide holistic support.
- Track student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Illinois Special Education Teaching Certification (LBS1 preferred).
- Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to support language development.
- Experience with IEP development and differentiated instruction.
- Passionate about inclusive education and student advocacy.
