Spring Semester School Social Worker– Near Peru, IL
School District Location: Ottawa, IL
Position Type: Full-Time (37.5hrs/week)
Start/End Date: Covering for Maternity Leave - Dates may vary
ProCare Therapy is offering a contract position for a Social Worker in our school district! This will be an on-site, full-time contract position! Our school in Ottawa, IL serves a vibrant community of general education and special education students. Our mission is to foster a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our team and contribute to our students' well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Implement and support Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to support students’ mental health and academic success.
- Help students with crisis interventions as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
- IL PEL Endorsed as a Social Worker (PK-21)
- Experience in a clinical or school-based setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) principles and practices is preferred.
