Job Description

ProCare Therapy has partnered with a great school district in Somerville, Massachusetts to hire a certified teacher for the visually impaired for the current 24-25 school year. This position will be part time and will pay up to $40/hour! 

What you’ll do:

  • Work onsite with a moderate to severe PreK caseload.
  • Work with students with visual impairment + ASD. 
  • Build rapport and trust with the children you work with.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support other relevant staff to help students achieve their goals.

Application requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
  • Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching certification requried.
  • Visual Impairment endorsement/certificate required. 
  • Two references with one by a previous direct supervisor/manager.
  • Background check, drug screen + fingerprinting.
  • TB test within 60 days of start date (only applicable in certain states).

You’ll stand out if you have:

  • Experience working in schools.
  • Spent time in special education settings.
  • Any SpEd-specific training or certifications.
