Position Overview:
Somerville, MA, is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time position. This role supports students in a Pre-K and Kindergarten school, focusing on classrooms for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and integrated Pre-K programs. Candidates should be skilled in addressing moderate to severe special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to students with visual impairments.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance learning accessibility.
  • Support ASD classrooms by adapting materials and ensuring equitable access.
  • Document progress, provide evaluations, and participate in meetings with families and staff.
