Special Education Teacher | OHIO
Location: OHIO
Duration: 2024/2025 School Year; Full Time (35 hours a week)
Caseload: One on One Reading instruction, Elementary through Middle school. Must have the reading endorsement and Wilson Reading or is Orton Gillingham trained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Specialized Instruction: Design and customize lessons across various subjects to accommodate the diverse needs and learning styles of students, using creative approaches to enhance both academic performance and social development.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Formulate and regularly revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific goals and strategies tailored to each student’s distinct learning requirements, with a particular emphasis on the Transition section.
- Support Behavioral and Emotional Growth: Apply strategies to manage behavior, create a positive learning atmosphere, and help students develop social skills and emotional resilience.
- Collaborate with the Education Team: Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a unified approach to student education, actively participating in meetings and maintaining ongoing communication.
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education preferred, but not required
- Active Special Education license and teaching certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting preferred
- Experience with teaching virtually is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable computer and high-speed internet (Chromebooks and tablets are not permitted)
Pay & Benefits:
- 1099 Contract Position

- Hourly rate: $36-45/hr (based on district budget and candidate experience)

Interview Process:
- Initial Screening: A 10-15 minute call
- Pass Tech Screening: Pass a 15 minute tech screening to show proficiency using Zoom.
- Virtual Interview: A 15-20 minute interview with the school district
- Offer: Typically made within 24-48 hours after the interview
