Remote Speech Language Pathologist: Independent Contractor (1099)
ProCare Therapy is looking to hire a fully remote Speech Language Pathologist for a one month coverage with opportunity to extend until December. We offer virtual full time and part time positions for school district including maternity leaves, medical leaves, and full year contracts. The selected candidate will be hired on as an independent contractor to join our network of telehealth contractors providing services to school district across the country. As an independent contractor, the selected candidate must have an active SLP-CCC license in Alabama and an active SLP license in the state you are currently living in, if applying out of state.
Requirements:
- Active Alabama SLP license
- 2+ years of virtual experience required
- ASHA CCC's required
- At least 2 years of school experience required
- Master's degree in Speech Disorders required
- Home computer with high speed internet for the virtual platform
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and video conferencing tools
Interview Process:
- 10 –15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
Caseload:
- Full time or part time hours available
- Monday - Friday
- Covering the month of October and possibly extending until December
- Therapy services only
- 4th-5th and 6th-8th grade
- 59 students on caseload
- If part time, Elementary and Middle school will be split
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, outlining goals and strategies.
- Provide engaging and effective virtual speech and language therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development and success.
- Continuously monitor and document students' progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Stay current with the latest research, technology, and therapy techniques in the field.
- Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
