Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Travel Special Education Teachers to provide support to school districts nationwide. In this role, you will work with students who have individualized education plans (IEPs) and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that addresses each student’s unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Individualized Education: Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that IEP goals are met and progress is documented.
- Classroom Support: Collaborate with general education teachers to implement inclusive practices that support students in mainstream classrooms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school staff, families, and specialists to create a cohesive and supportive educational experience for students.
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct assessments and help develop IEPs, making necessary adjustments to ensure students are receiving appropriate support.
- Behavioral and Social-Emotional Support: Implement strategies to support positive behavior and social-emotional growth in students.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and IEP goals in compliance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Special Education Teacher certification/license.
- Experience in school settings, particularly in special education, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs and working with students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt to various school environments.
