ProCare Therapy is actively searching for a qualified school paraprofessional in Indianapolis, IN that is seeking to join one of our trusted school districts for the 2024 school year. Job Description

  • Works with a variety of children ages 12-months to toddlers.
     Implements a play-based daily schedule and routine for young children.
  • Small Group or 1:1 Parapro Posiiton
  • Full-Time 35 Hours Per Week!
  • Ensures children are safe and their needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, and feeding.
     Ensures children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmental activities.
    Plans for and maintains an appropriate, clean, safe, developmentally appropriate & nurturing environment for
    Communicates daily with parents about the needs, activities, and developmental milestones of children.
    Facilitates open communication and a positive classroom and school environment.
  •  Uses positive behavior support and praise to encourage problem-solving and good behavior.
  • Ensures that children are learning and socializing in a positive way.
  • Maintains records and keeps accurate data of learning goals and objectives.
  • Develops and prepares the daily schedule and any materials needed for active engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • A Child Development Associate credential (CDA) and experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool is preferred. 
  • Any teaching licenses; or the combination of the following:
  • 48 College Credits (evidence is an unofficial transcript) or Passing Scores on ETS Para Praxis Exam (Reading 176, Writing 172, Math 175 or total 460).
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
  • Must have excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Certification in child CPR or the willingness to obtain it. 
  • Must provide provide ProCare with 2 Supervisory References UPFRONT. 

Interview Process

  • 10–15-minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview.

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
