Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year in Upper Lake, CA. As an Virtual SLP, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs, ranging from PreK to 12th grade. This position requires experience working with higher-needs students, including those with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and other similar conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and interventions to address students' communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills across various settings
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with students with higher needs, including Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, etc.
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of speech and language disorders and appropriate intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
