Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced professional with credentials as a Respiratory Therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). This contract position requires flexibility and clinical expertise to provide exceptional care to patients requiring respiratory support.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts
• 3x12-hour shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Demonstrated skills and proper certifications in respiratory therapy
• Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying acuity levels and patient needs
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS are valued
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory care treatments, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and medication delivery, as prescribed by physicians
• Assess and monitor patients, adjusting therapy plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and any changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatment plans and best practices
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes
