Job Description

Step into a rewarding school-based contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. This onsite, full-time opportunity near Baltimore, MD, involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver essential occupational therapy services that help students thrive both academically and functionally.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Active Maryland Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Experience working within a school setting is highly valued.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Role Overview:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support general education and special education classrooms through consultation and in-class assistance.
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to ongoing assessments.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and families.
  • Manage a diverse K-12 caseload with flexibility and empathy.
