Job Description
Advance your career in education by supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a contract assignment. This opportunity involves covering a maternity leave and requires immediate availability through November 13, 2026. Youll work with students in grades 5 through 12 across three school buildings, helping make a meaningful difference every day. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 38.75 hours weekly. Occupational Therapy supervision is fully provided.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification and license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in grades 5-12
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and relevant documentation standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, educators, and clinical supervisors
- Ability to adapt to working across multiple school settings
- Strong commitment to facilitating students academic and functional success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed occupational therapy interventions under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Serve students in grades 5 through 12, addressing their individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress, and communications
- Consult with teachers, parents, and therapy team members to support student outcomes
- Flexibly manage a caseload across three buildings while upholding high standards of care
- Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to a positive collaborative environment
