Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the 20262027 school year in Hayward, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a collaborative educational environment while promoting academic, social, communication, and developmental growth.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students access educational opportunities and achieve their individual goals while working alongside supportive school teams and families.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- August 10, 2026 June 4, 2027
- 37.5 Hours per Week
- Onsite
Qualifications:
- Active California Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Certification/License required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and educational staff
- Support students' academic, communication, social, and functional skill development
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Advocate for student access to educational programs, services, and accommodations
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Caseload:
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Students
- Specific caseload details to be discussed during the interview process
