Qualifications & Credentials:

  • Active California Occupational Therapy (CA OT) License required
  • Experience working with K-12 students as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher is preferred
  • Proficient in delivering remote and virtual services
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional approaches to individual student needs

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

  • Start date: August 2026 (New School Year)
  • Part-time hours (less than 20 hours per week); schedule and days per week to be determined
  • Engage with a diverse caseload of K-12 students with varying degrees of hearing loss
  • Provide direct instruction, intervention, and consultation using effective digital platforms
  • Collaborate closely with families, other educators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and adapt strategies to maximize engagement and success
  • Maintain regular communication with school personnel and VocoVision to ensure quality of services
