Qualifications & Credentials:
- Active California Occupational Therapy (CA OT) License required
- Experience working with K-12 students as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher is preferred
- Proficient in delivering remote and virtual services
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instructional approaches to individual student needs
Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Start date: August 2026 (New School Year)
- Part-time hours (less than 20 hours per week); schedule and days per week to be determined
- Engage with a diverse caseload of K-12 students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and consultation using effective digital platforms
- Collaborate closely with families, other educators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and adapt strategies to maximize engagement and success
- Maintain regular communication with school personnel and VocoVision to ensure quality of services
