Job Description
Make a real impact by providing one-on-one support for a student as an experienced LPN or RN. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with a male Out-of-District student in a supportive educational environment. The assignment is expected to continue through the remainder of 2025/2026, span over the summer, and may extend into the following school year. You'll play a vital role in the student's school day, providing essential nursing care and ensuring their well-being from home to school and back.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering one-on-one nursing support for a student throughout the school day and during transportation
- Monitoring and addressing the students daily medical needs as specified in their health plan
- Administering medication, interventions, and documentation according to school policies
- Collaborating with educators, school staff, and the students family to ensure coordinated care
- Maintaining communication and accurate records to document services
- Responding to health emergencies with sound clinical judgment
- Providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a school setting
Desired qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts LPN or RN license is required
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations, preferably in a school or 1:1 setting
- Comfortable providing care in both classroom and transportation environments
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work approximately 40 hours per week on a consistent schedule
