Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students during an Extended School Year (ESY) session. This position is perfect for compassionate LPNs, LVNs, or RNs with a passion for pediatric care and a desire to make a difference in a school setting. Youll work closely with a student and the school team, providing crucial health assistance while riding the bus to and from school and supporting daily needs throughout the morning.
Assignment Details
- Duration: July 6th through August 6th
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am 11:30 am
- Contracted Hours: 16 per week (4 each day, including 30 minutes before and after school for bus supervision)
- Caseload: Elementary student(s) attending ESY programming
- Role includes riding the bus with the student to and from school
Qualifications and Experience
- Active LPN, LVN, or RN license
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care
- Comfort with supporting students on the school bus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care and medication administration during school hours
- Monitor and support the students health and well-being on the bus
- Maintain clear communication with school staff and family
- Document care as required by school policy
- Respond promptly to any health concerns or emergencies
