Job Description

Bring your commitment to pediatric care and school health to a dynamic 1:1 nursing opportunity supporting elementary students during the academic year. As an LPN nurse working on a contractual basis, you will play a significant role in the daily well-being and safety of a young student requiring dedicated medical support throughout the school day. This position features a weekly schedule Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:55 am, with a total of 3537 hours each week, following the school year calendar.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered LPN licensure in the state
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based nursing (1:1 care preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills specific to children
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare teams
  • Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
  • Dependable and punctual work ethic

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 direct nursing care and health monitoring to a designated elementary student
  • Administer medications and support treatments as prescribed
  • Document all care provided, interventions, and observations with accuracy
  • Maintain close communication with school staff, allied professionals, and parents/guardians
  • Participate in school orientation (8/24) prior to the academic start date (8/26)
  • Respond promptly to any medical emergencies and adapt care plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with school health protocols, confidentiality, and all nursing standards
