School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Pawtucket, Rhode Island

A local school is seeking an LPN or RN to support an elementary caseload during their Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role is perfect for school-experienced nursing professionals who want to help elementary students thrive while working a manageable schedule.

Assignment Details:

• Dates: July 6th through August 6th
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 11:30 am
• Total Hours: 16 hours per week (includes additional bus time)
• Caseload: Elementary students
• Transportation: Ride the bus with the student to and from ESY, providing supervision and care as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess an active RN or LPN license
• Experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations
• Comfortable supporting students with diverse health and medical needs
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride the school bus with the student daily, ensuring a safe journey to and from the program site
• Provide comprehensive nursing care during school hours, including administering medications, routine health checks, and responding to student health concerns
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create a positive and safe learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and administrators regarding student health status and any medical interventions
• Document care provided according to school policies and standards
