Job Description
Ignite creativity and support student well-being as a Music Therapist working in a dynamic educational environment near Keller, TX! This contract opportunity is perfect for a compassionate professional eager to inspire and connect with students through the power of music. Youll be working part-time, providing approximately 3 hours of therapy each week for two students in need of specialized support. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 27th, offering a meaningful way to make an impact over the course of the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or equivalent credentials required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or adolescents preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans
- Empathy, patience, and a collaborative approach to working with students and educators
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one music therapy sessions tailored to each students needs and goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and progress plans
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care
- Document sessions, maintain records, and monitor student progress
- Adapt techniques and materials to suit varying abilities and preferences
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages engagement and growth
