Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience with school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, assessment, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience with pediatric populations in educational settings is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services within a school setting across multiple grade levels
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans supporting academic and life skills
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide professional input for student goals
- Evaluate student progress, document findings, and adjust interventions as needed
- Educate teachers, paraprofessionals, and families on strategies that enhance student participation and independence
- Support transitions between grade levels and assist with orientation for new students as appropriate
