Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll play a vital part in fostering student success and independence, working alongside another dedicated OT to deliver collaborative, impactful services.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in school environments, especially with high school or post-secondary populations.
  • Strong understanding of IEP process, goal setting, and documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with fellow therapists, educators, families, and students.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to identify strengths and areas for intervention within educational environments.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in alignment with each student's IEP.
  • Collaborate closely with your OT colleague to balance caseload, share strategies, and support student progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and updates to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Educate and empower students, families, and school staff on strategies and accommodations to promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate records, timely documentation, and effective communication throughout the school year.
