Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school and post-secondary students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract-based role offers a collaborative work environment with a manageable caseload shared alongside another enthusiastic OT. With 35 hours per week, youll have time to build meaningful relationships with both students and your team, all while enhancing students day-to-day experiences.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OT
- Previous experience in school-based or adolescent/post-secondary settings is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and developing individualized interventions
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Strong organization and adaptability in dynamic learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop targeted intervention plans for high school and post-secondary students
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the educational environment
- Collaborate closely with another OT to coordinate and manage a shared caseload
- Participate in IEP meetings, documenting student progress, and maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families to support student participation, independence, and access to curriculum
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that fosters student growth and well-being
