Successful candidates will possess:
- A valid Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of best practices and regulatory guidelines in school-based OT
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for consulting with educators, staff, and families
- Ability to organize, manage caseloads, and maintain accurate records
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted OT interventions to students, assisting with fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Performing assessments and contributing to the development of IEPs
- Consulting with educational teams to create strategies and accommodations within the classroom setting
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Maintaining documentation consistent with school district and professional standards
