Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students growth and independence through expert occupational therapy. With a 37.5-hour workweek spread over five days, youll serve a diverse school community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners from Pre-K through post-graduate levels. This role spans all buildings in the area, and youll work closely with students who have occupational therapy services noted in their IEPs. Your expertise will provide invaluable guidance, helping each student reach their fullest potential.
This assignment begins October 10 and runs through December 18, offering you the chance to create a lasting impact over the course of the fall semester.
To thrive in this role, youll bring:
- Current Indiana licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous school-based OT experience, including writing and implementing IEP goals (preferred)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a caseload of up to 100 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams, families, and the learning community
- Flexibility to support multiple school sites and adapt to varying student needs
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and providing direct occupational therapy services in alignment with each students IEP
- Documenting progress and participating in IEP meetings to advocate for students needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other therapists to facilitate student success and promote best practices
- Integrating therapeutic strategies that foster independence and engagement within the school environment
