Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Illinois Paraprofessional Educator License (IL PARA certification) is required
• Demonstrated experience working with students with higher functional and academic needs
• Previous experience in instructional or special education classroom settings is highly valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
• Commitment to supporting the academic, behavioral, and emotional growth of all students
• Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic educational environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Support individualized and small group instruction in a 23 classroom setting
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to deliver adaptations and modifications based on student needs
• Assist with implementation of IEPs and behavior intervention plans, as directed
• Provide encouragement, positive reinforcement, and consistent support to promote inclusion and independence
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations effectively with the educational team
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners
