Job Description

Step into a dynamic school environment supporting elementary-aged students as a Paraprofessional for a rewarding contract opportunity. This role involves working closely with students with behavioral needs to foster a positive and inclusive learning experience. Hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday. This is a backfill position, so the team is seeking someone reliable and experienced who can seamlessly transition into the role and start making an impact right away.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Current and valid paraprofessional certification is required
• Experience working in school settings or with behavioral needs
• Strong commitment to supporting students' academic and emotional growth
• Ability to implement behavior support strategies under guidance from school staff
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and engagement
• Collaborative mindset to partner effectively with teachers and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one or in small groups with elementary students, providing academic and behavioral support
• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Implement behavioral interventions as outlined by school staff and administration
• Support teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Clearly and professionally communicate student progress and any concerns to supervising staff
• Adapt to dynamic classroom needs and proactively address challenges as they arise
