Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is highly valued
• Solid understanding of classroom routines and professionalism in a school environment
• Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with teachers and staff
• Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associates degree preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support to students under the direction of special education or general classroom teachers
• Assist with instructional activities, classroom management, and individualized or small group learning
• Support students with differing abilities to promote active participation in classroom tasks
• Assist in implementing behavior management strategies and help create a positive classroom climate
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
• Help with organization of classroom materials and preparation of lesson resources
• Supervise students during transitions, activities, and breaks as needed
