Take your experience as a Paraprofessional to a meaningful new level by supporting students who need it most. A contract opportunity is available starting September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, at a specialized school environment assisting students in Setting 4 a unique site serving individuals in Special Education for their entire school day. The role entails 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working with ages ranging from elementary to high school in an environment with complex behavioral and learning needs.
In this role, youll make a tremendous impact by providing hands-on support to students with the most significant disabilities. If you have an age group preference, your input is welcome.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be Highly Qualified as a Paraprofessional in Minnesota by ONE of the following:
- Passing score on MN Para Educator or Parapro Exam (attach proof)
- At least 60 college credits (transcripts required, not just diploma/degree)
- Comfortable working in a dedicated special education environment and supporting students with a range of behavioral and medical needs
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as needed
- Adaptable to working with varied ages from elementary through high school
- Resume and proof of highly qualified status must be provided at application
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct support to students in all aspects of daily activities and learning
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans
- Foster a safe, respectful, nurturing atmosphere for students with intensive needs
- Provide behavioral guidance and facilitate personal care routines
