Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. Located near Osseo, MN, this full-time position offers the chance to make a difference across resource, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase, and Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase programs. You'll work directly with students at Evergreen Park, assisting with a variety of academic and developmental needs in a collaborative school environment.
Key Requirements:
- Highly Qualified status achieved by either:
- Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
- Completing at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required for consideration)
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care needs as part of student support
- Flexibility regarding assignment preferences; please specify if you are most interested in resource, DCD, or LAUNCH programs
- Strong communication, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a supportive educational atmosphere
- Submission of both a current resume and proper documentation (transcripts or para exam scores) for application review
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with educational staff to promote academic and developmental progress for students in special education programs
- Maintaining a consistent schedule: Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week during school hours
- Providing individualized assistance, adapting support as needed to best serve student caseloads
- Fostering positive relationships with students, families, and faculty
- Performing all aspects of paraeducator support, including personal care as required
This contract role begins in September 2026 and extends through early June 2027. After 422 contracted hours, you may become a direct hire of the district. Earn $20 per hour while gaining valuable experience and making a genuine impact in students lives.
