Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or in a similar support role with school-age children
• High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certification in education or related field is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support diverse learners
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment
• Willingness to follow direction from lead teachers and school administrators
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teachers to support lesson implementation and individualized instruction
• Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, and developing key academic and social skills
• Help ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding successes and challenges
• Support students with special needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Supervise groups of students during activities, transitions, and breaks
• Perform clerical or administrative tasks as directed by school personnel
