Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
  • Comfortable providing mobility and toileting assistance as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patience, adaptability, and a supportive attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with educators and peers
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of maintaining confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities
  • Support students with personal care, including mobility and toileting assistance
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Encourage student participation, independence, and socialization
  • Monitor student behavior and provide appropriate redirection
  • Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the overall positive school atmosphere
