Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
- Comfortable providing mobility and toileting assistance as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Patience, adaptability, and a supportive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with educators and peers
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of maintaining confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities
- Support students with personal care, including mobility and toileting assistance
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Encourage student participation, independence, and socialization
- Monitor student behavior and provide appropriate redirection
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
- Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the overall positive school atmosphere
