Job Description
Support students and educators as a dedicated paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Roy, MT. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
- Adept at collaborating with teachers, specialists, and parents
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education or child development is a plus
- Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and adapting materials for individual student needs
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goalsboth in group and one-on-one settings
- Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture
- Help facilitate effective classroom management and maintain student engagement
- Participate in team meetings, contribute insights on student progress, and communicate observations to staff as appropriate
- Provide supervision during transitions, on the playground, and at lunch or other group activities
- Model appropriate behavior and encourage independence in students
- Perform other duties as assigned by teachers or administration
