Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or students, preferably within a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability when assisting diverse learners
• Ability to follow directions and implement educational plans provided by teachers
• High school diploma or equivalent (some schools may require additional certification)
• Background check and references as required by school policy

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and supporting classroom management
• Provide individualized or small group academic and behavioral support
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment
• Help students with assignments, activities, and daily routines
• Support students with special needs by following accommodations and modifications as directed
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods
• Communicate observations and student progress to classroom teachers and staff
