Job Description
Make a meaningful difference as a contract paraprofessional supporting an elementary-aged student in a 1:1 role. Qualifications:
- Appropriate certifications or credentials to serve as a school paraprofessional (please have credentials ready when applying)
- Prior experience working with children in an academic or support setting
- Understanding of the needs and challenges facing elementary students
- Effective communication skills with students, educators, and families
- Compassion, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 support to a male elementary student, following individualized plans as guided by instructional and special education teams
- Assist with classroom tasks, encourage engagement, and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment
- Foster positive interactions and help the student build self-confidence and independence
- Collaborate closely with teachers and related staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies
- Maintain daily documentation and clear communication regarding the student's needs and achievements
Schedule & Details:
- 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- June 8th start date with an end date of June 18th
- Located near Seattle, WA
- Pay ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, with weekly pay provided
