What you'll bring:
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in educational or care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adaptability and patience when working with diverse student needs
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and other staff members
- Basic knowledge of classroom management techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in education or special education is an advantage
- Current background check or willingness to obtain one
Key responsibilities:
- Support students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher
- Assist with classroom activities, instructional materials, and student engagement
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and organized classroom atmosphere
- Monitor students during transitions, lunch, and other non-instructional times as needed
- Collaborate with educators to implement student-specific strategies, accommodations, or modifications
- Encourage student independence and confidence while offering guidance as necessary
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom experiences
