Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students and educators as a Physical Therapist for an energetic and welcoming school community. This opportunity extends from the end of July through December, covering the first semester of the academic year. Your expertise will directly enhance student success across a broad and dynamic caseload.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in Colorado
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Comfortable working in-person onsite; remote candidates will not be considered
- Adaptability to serve multiple schools (21 schools in the district)
- Team spirit: ready to work alongside two supportive PTAs
What You'll Do:
- Manage a full caseload of students, delivering direct PT services as outlined in IEPs
- Perform comprehensive assessments and reevaluations
- Participate in all IEP meetings, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and district policies
- Schedule four-day workweeks, Monday through Thursday, with an additional four Fridays dedicated to Child Find evaluations
- Provide mentorship and support to PTA staff
