Job Description
Experience an enriching summer providing physical therapy services to students in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity takes place onsite, working with a K-12 caseload during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The schedule offers 14 hours each week, Monday through Thursday, from June 22 through July 30, 2026.
Ideal candidates are passionate about helping students achieve their mobility, independence, and developmental goals. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure every student receives personalized support in a positive, supportive setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current Pennsylvania State Physical Therapy license
- Familiarity with the needs of K-12 students in a school-based setting
- Ability to design, implement, and adjust treatment plans for a diverse caseload
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with ESY or summer school programs is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students on your caseload, adapting approaches as needed
- Assess, document, and report on student progress toward individualized goals
- Consult with educators and families to develop effective strategies for student success
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings as needed to review progress and coordinate care
