Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students of all abilities as a licensed Physical Therapist. This position, running from August 21, 2025, through June 14, 2026, involves working with an average caseload of 40 students across eight school sites, serving learners from pre-K through 12th grade. Youll collaborate with educators and families to create inclusive, accessible learning environments and promote movement, motor skill development, and greater independence for students.
What were seeking:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and special education processes
- Confidence working with diverse student populations across various ages
- Comfort traveling to multiple sites within the same school district
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
Your primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students as specified in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess motor skills and physical development needs to inform recommendations and goals
- Develop and implement therapeutic programs to support mobility, access, and function in the school setting
- Provide input and support to school staff on classroom accommodations and strategies
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with families and school stakeholders to maximize student outcomes
- Manage a dynamic weekly schedule of 32.5 hours across multiple campuses
