Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services throughout a diverse K-12 school district near Edison, NJ. This full-time assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school settings, collaborating with students, educators, and families to support student development and participation.
This position runs from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027, with regular hours Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 3:15PM, totaling 35 hours per week. You'll have the unique experience of serving the needs of students district wide, working with different age groups and staff members throughout the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Physical Therapy license (required)
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Skilled in adapting interventions for students with various physical needs
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Flexible, reliable, and able to manage travel across multiple schools
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group physical therapy to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to meet IEP goals
- Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in team meetings
- Monitor and document student progress according to district and state guidelines
- Adapt techniques to diverse school environments
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
Requirements:
- Ability to complete/obtain TB test, physical, and fingerprint clearance for both the district and agency
- Readiness for a Zoom interview as part of the selection process
