Step into a rewarding contract position this school year, providing physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade. In this part-time, onsite role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting student mobility, motor skills, and access to the educational environment. Youll work 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule: services may begin as early as 8 AM and end by 3 PM, based on school hours and your availability. Travel between campuses is required, with mileage reimbursement provided to support your commitment to multiple school locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid license to practice Physical Therapy in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within K-8 educational settings.
- Familiarity with adapting therapy techniques to accommodate diverse student needs.
- Ability to pass a CORI check and fingerprint background screening.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with school staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, as indicated in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to guide therapy interventions.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with school district procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate therapy into the school day.
- Travel onsite to school campuses within the district, efficiently managing your weekly schedule.
