Job Description

This part-time role involves 16 hours per week, scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. You'll serve as a vital resource, providing therapeutic services across a diverse student population, assessing needs, and helping students attain their physical and educational goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous work in a school setting or with pediatric clients is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the special education process
- Ability to develop, implement, and document treatment plans
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with a flexible, collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students physical therapy needs
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy interventions in accordance with student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, other school professionals, and families to support student inclusion
- Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the goal-setting process
- Educate staff and caregivers on adaptations, positioning, and mobility strategies
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in school-based physical therapy
