Make a difference working with K-12 students for the 26/27 school year in a dynamic contract role near Detroit, MI. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support a diverse group of 30-35 students, making a real impact in their educational environment. Youll collaborate closely with educators and other professionals to deliver top-notch physical therapy assistant services in a school setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Michigan
• Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged populations (K-12)
• Knowledge of school-based activities, protocols, and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions to students as prescribed by supervising PTs
• Support and carry out treatment plans aligned with student IEPs
• Monitor, document, and report progress while adjusting activities as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success
• Assist with screenings, assessments, and data collection related to student motor needs
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state regulations
• Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere for students of varying abilities
