Embrace a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students near Pecos, NM, with a focus on making a meaningful impact as either a PT or experienced PTA. This full-time assignment balances placements in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque, covering a diverse student population spanning early childhood to young adults. Ideal candidates are adaptable, can work autonomously, and thrive with virtual supervision.
Highlights of the Opportunity:
- Two dynamic placements: Albuquerque (one site, around 15 students aged 18 months6 years) and Santa Fe (one site, 1015 students aged 18 months22 years).
- Work schedule totaling 30 hours per week: 2 days per site per week, with shifts of approximately 7.5 hours per day.
- Contract duration: August 3 through June 5.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Demonstrated experience in school-based or healthcare physical therapy; comfortable working independently as a PTA.
- Strong understanding of pediatric and young adult therapy needs.
- Confidence using virtual supervision effectively.
- Commitment to supporting students physical, academic, and emotional growth.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services in educational settings.
- Assess, plan, and implement care for students with varying needs and diagnoses.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related services to promote student success.
- Complete documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required.
- Adapt interventions to diverse ages and developmental stages.
