Job Description
Exciting opportunities are available for licensed Physical Therapists (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) to support students in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. If you have experience in both healthcare and school settings and can work independently with virtual supervision, this contract role is ideal for you. This position provides valuable services across two sites, combining pediatric expertise with flexibility and autonomy.
Key Details:
- Full-time contract: 30 hours per week split across two locations.
- Albuquerque: 2 days/week (7.5 hours), serving 1 school with a caseload of about 15 students ages 18 months to 6 years.
- Santa Fe: 2 days/week (7.5 hours), 1 site, serving 1015 students, ages 18 months up to 22 years.
- Assignment runs from August 3rd through June 5th.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a PT or PTA.
- Recent experience in pediatric therapy, preferably within schools or similar educational settings.
- Strong skills working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with the ability to thrive in a virtually supervised environment.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and individualized therapy plans.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and healthcare standards.
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with education professionals, families, and supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with ethical and legal requirements for therapy in school environments.
