Job Description
Make a meaningful impact working with K-12 students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Paraprofessional in a dynamic school-based setting near Cambridge, MA. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2027, offering a blend of summer and school-year hours for a stable and rewarding experience.
In this role, you'll support students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs, collaborating closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams. Your skills as an RBT or Paraprofessional will be valued as you help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for children across various grade levels.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
- Experience in educational or behavioral support roles (school or clinical)
- Familiarity with implementing behavior intervention plans and data collection
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate, flexible, and committed to student success
- Ability to work with diverse student populations, including those with special needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education and behavioral intervention plans
- Monitor student progress and collect behavioral data
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student growth
- Support classroom management and reinforce positive behaviors
- Adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
For the Extended School Year (ESY), you'll work 13 hours per week, transitioning to 32.5 hours weekly during the regular academic year (five days/week, K-12 age group). Compensation for this opportunity will be determined based on position and experience within the $24-$32/hr range.
