This contract role focuses on engaging with students across all age groups in autism and behavior classrooms, making a genuine impact on their daily lives.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with children or youth on the autism spectrum, or in behavior-focused programs, strongly preferred
- Ability to work in classroom settings across various age groups, adapting interventions as needed
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Capability to implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under supervision
- Reliable, organized, and confident managing classroom behaviors
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 and small group support to students in autism and behavior programs
- Implement behavior plans and collect data on student progress
- Collaborate with special education teachers, school psychologists, and BCBA supervisors
- Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments that encourage student growth and independence
- Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation using trained techniques
- Document interventions, progress, and observations in accordance with school requirements
